The Ugly’s BBQ Shack Story
Ugly’s Barbecue Shack was established in 2019 as a hobby-type project where I could give my friends and family rubs and pastes to assist with barbecue flavor enhancement. In the January of 2020 I have created an online barbecue store and fun website that may assist other avid barbecuers in finding that special flavor they are seeking. Ugly’s is a NOR*CAL establishment founded in San Jose, Calif. Now with a functional onsite store in the makes, a goal of opening a BBQ restaurant is seeming more realistic but will take some time. BOTTOM LINE: If you like barbecuing as much as my dog Greeley and I, then I think you will have fun experimenting with my products which have been crowd pleasers among my friends, family, dog, and girlfriend.

At Ugly’s, many trial and error tests are conducted before creating a product. If our product does not taste good to us, it will not taste good to you. As an avid barbecuer, I will not produce any product I find to have a displeasing taste. I want to give people the best flavors I possibly can. I am a proud NOR*CAL native and am striving to create new and bold flavors. These flavors are inspired by the great people, land, and resources that Northern California has to offer. So clearly, its amazing because NOR*CAL is amazing!
